Although Jungle Habitat in West Milford is no longer in operation, the park grounds are rumored to be quite haunted. The location was once a Warner Brothers Zoo and safari park that opened in the 1970s. There were over 1,500 wild animals that called the park home. The park was only open for a couple of years and closed down in 1976. Local legend says that the animals that resided at Jungle Habitat haunt the park but are now strange mutations of their former selves.
