The Ghost of Annie’s Road - Real Totowa Haunted Place

  • Riverview Dr.
  • Totowa, NJ
The Ghost of Annie’s Road has a few different versions. One version includes Annie getting into a fight with her boyfriend by the side of the road after prom in the 1960s. The local high school student was picked up by a carload of sailors who murdered her. Other stories suggest that Annie was a bride who died on her wedding night and a girl who was dragged by a truck. The road is known by locals for its sharp turns, and it has been the site of several other fatal, real-life accidents supposedly caused by her ghost. Rumor has it if you want to catch a glimpse of Annie, turn on some “oldies” music, pull over, turn your car lights off and look in your rearview window.

while on my way back from spirit Halloween, my dad took me to Annie’s road. my dad stopped the car and turned the headlights off. as a little lad I saw I saw a figure out my window, and I started crying.. I went home and described the imaginary figure I saw, and when we looked at the girl, it was the exact description that I gave. #ScaryTimes. #NewJersey #OnlyInTotowa.
